Neither of your driveshafts should be spinning if you’re laying under the vehicle- unless its suspended or something. Otherwise the driveshaft spins when the front axle does- the connection to your drivetrain occurs in the transfer case and does not engage until you move the corresponding shift lever.

If they split the shaft and not re install it correctly, they will throw the shaft out of balance and cause an uncomfortable vibration. One piece shaft guys have the slip yoke in the t-case, so they dont have to worry about any of this.
